About the Genealogical Society
The OTOW Genealogical was formed in 1995. For the first few years, the club met to exchange research ideas with others searching for their ancestors. During the past five years the club has become a teaching club for the residence of OTOW, by teaching classes at the Master the Possibilities. In addition to classes taught at the Master the Possibilities, the club added a second meeting each month to share research ideas with its members. Club members range from the beginners first starting their family research, to more advanced researchers. Club meetings are open to all residents of OTOW.
Business Meetings
The OTOW Genealogical Society business meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month, at 10:00 AM in meeting room #3 at the Craft Building (same building as the Wood Shop).
The OTOW Genealogical Society helps members with their genealogy research techniques, and has a rather large genealogy lending library for a club our size, that is available to club members.
Genealogy Workshop and Mentoring
We also meet at 10:00 a.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Arbor Club Conference Center, Suites B & C. During the presentation meetings, a prepared presentation is given by one of the club’s members on a variety of genealogy subjects. In addition, a question and answer time to help members with their research is made available to those attending.
